Carotid Artery Stenosis

Atherosclerosis (hardening of the blood vessels) is generalized condition in which the CAROTID artery which supplies blood to brain can also get affected. These vessels can be a source of thromboembolisation to brain and can cause the severe debilitating stroke and or paralysis. Dr. Bipeenchandra Bhamre has opportunity to work with Dr. Denton Cooley’s team who has invented this operation carotid endarterectomy way back in 1960’s.
